These are used for controlling the movement of the plunger which in turn is used for opening the valve. This in turn allows the pressurized fuel to squirt out through a tiny nozzle. Each fuel injector contains a spring-loaded valve that is kept closed by its spring pressure. The valve only opens when the fuel is squirted in.
